Thermal labels, with or without cover. Which ones to use?

By

When we talk about thermal labels, many customers ask us if they should be used with or without a cover. The “cover” is nothing more than a protection of the front surface that improves the durability of the label and makes it more resistant to printing.

Important for this option is also the purpose of it. As a general rule, for food products, products that go to cold environments or products with a long shelf life, we advise you to always use the label with cover. Labels whose purpose is merely identification, with a short validity or the traditional counter / box identification label can perfectly be without cover. In terms of costs, labels without a cover are the most economical and price differences (depending on quantities and dimensions) will be around 5 to 10%.
